Heading out into the San Juan Islands

 We are being splashed on Monday, August 24th.  This is the lift that will inflate and take us down to the large boat launch.  We stay on the boat and start the engine when we hit the water.  

Our first destination is Blind Bay on Shaw Island

Covid-19 Chaos

Normally we would have been on Emerald Star and cruising the Inside Passage by now.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have been sheltering in place in California since March 19th.  Here it is DAY 73! We are still supposed to stay home. My daughter and I have made dozens of masks to share with friends, family, and hospitals.  We felt it was the least we could do.   Everyone in the world has been affected by this viscous virus.  I hope you and yours are safe and healthy. We are actually heading north!

OK, we have had enough of being shut in in California.  Even though the US-Canada border may not open, we will cruise in the San Juan Islands if that is all that is available.  These island are quite beautiful and there is still a chance of seeing whales.  Emerald Star is in Anacortes and is waiting for us.
